Extended speed ranges for cost-effective productivity
Often, slower cranes are used for delicate work. However, a slow-moving crane can hold back production, as the hook moves just as slowly on the return trip with an empty hook. To avoid this loss of production time, Konecranes has two speed control options, Extended Speed Range and Adaptive Speed Range. These options for overhead lifting equipment motors are cost-effective options to achieve high average hoist speeds without increasing motor size.
Extends to your material handling needs
Extended Speed Range from Konecranes has been developed for high duty applications where near capacity loads are routinely lifted. Extended Speed Range uses inverter technology to allow increased hoist speed for light loads.
The faster hoist speed allows operators to return empty hooks to position or move smaller loads with more speed and efficiency, reducing average hoist cycle time and increasing productivity.
Adapts to your lifting needs
Adaptive Speed Range automatically varies the speed of the hoist according to the load. For full capacity loads, Adaptive Speed Range forces a slower, more deliberate speed to enhance safe lifting. Moderate loads can be moved with additional speed, while light loads are afforded even more speed.
Designed for applications where high capacity lifts are made less frequently, Adaptive Speed Range uses a compact motor, maximizing productivity and safety, while reducing unnecessary motor power and maintenance costs.
Our CXT electric wire rope hoists, as well as our SMARTON cranes, are available with ASR and ESR capabilities. Contact Konecranes for a quote and to see which option will suit your production needs the best.
