Konecranes President and CEO Rob Smith today gave the following comments to mark his first year in the role:
“It has been an exciting, eventful and rewarding year, but also very difficult for all of us. I’m immensely proud of what our team accomplished in the face of unprecedented adversity – overcoming lockdowns, separation, infection, illness and the passing of people close to us,” Smith said.
“I want to warmly thank all employees, customers, business partners, shareholders and other stakeholders for your cooperation and commitment in such a challenging year,” he added.
Smith added that Konecranes would continue to implement its strategic initiatives in 2021 – an important year for the company given the planned combination with Cargotec – with a firm focus on safety, high performance, continuous improvement and sustainability.
“Our achievements have positioned us well for the future, and the journey of transforming Konecranes from a good company into a great one has only just begun,” he concluded.
