Recently updated, it now has improved productivity and safety, allowing better load handling and less maintenance.

Suitable for a range of girder configurations, the Konecranes S-series rope hoist can lift up to 20 tons with its advanced design, including off-set reeving, stepless hoisting and safety adding features that set the standard in modern lifting.

Synthetic Rope

Stronger – higher breaking strength than equivalent sized steel wire rope.
Cleaner – rope lubrication not required and no rusting.
Lighter – 80% lighter than steel wire and easier to handle.
Longer lasting – does not kink or bird cage and resilient to corrosive environments.
Safer – no wire barbs or splinters reduces hand injuries.

Tilted drum

Improves reeving component life.
Offset reeving minimizes rope fleet angle and increases rope life.
Grooved and painted steel drum tube does not require greasing.

Rope reeving

Exceptionally even wheel load distribution, 45% better wheel loads than our CXT, provides less wear to the wheels and main girder.
Lower fleet angle when raising the load reduces stress on the rope and hoist components.
Ropes do not cross or twist for improved safety.

Synthetic sheaves

Greasing not required and lighter weight generates less wear.

Standard inverter (VFD)

Smooth operation by gradually slowing down a load and smooth acceleration to prevent load swings and improves operational safety.
Variable speed control reduces maintenance costs due to lower wear to gearbox, brakes, and couplers.

New hoist motor

Motor is specifically designed for demanding hoisting (Core of Lifting).
High torque generates fast and consistent lifting power.
Industry leading performance with 60% ED rating.

Brake

Mounted on gearbox for easy inspection.
Motor Integrated brake is designed for a million stops.
Spring forced magnetic safety brake engages in absence of power.

Gears

Designed specifically for hoisting (Core of Lifting).
Integrated strain gauge overload sensor.
Lifetime oil lubrication reduces maintenance.
Easy coupler window view where gears are connected to motor does not require removing the motor to complete inspections.

New hook block

Innovative design prevents hook block turning and improves safer lifting.
Polycarbonate covers protects the sheaves and lighter weight improves close-to-hook work.
Hooks hardened to DIN 15401.

SAFE Features

Hook Centering - Eliminates side pull during lifting by automatically positioning the bridge and trolley directly over the load. Faster load cycle times, ease of operation and improved operational safety.
Snag Prevention - Stops all crane movement if the hook, sling, or load accidentally gets caught on an object during horizontal movement.
Follow Me - the crane operator can speed up operation by simply guiding the hook, by hand, safely into position over the load. The crane and trolley automatically follow along, overhead.
