Konecranes, a global leader in material handling solutions, has received internationally recognized ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for information security, cybersecurity, and privacy protection. The management system certification covers Konecranes global business applications and IT infrastructure.
This achievement builds upon Konecranes' previous ISO 27001 management system certifications, such as certification of digital services offered to customers, which was granted already in 2021, and certification of Port Solution’s ECSS, and TBA software products, granted in in 2022.
"As we navigate one of the most diverse, rapidly changing segments of the global economy, we recognize that robust information security is vital across all our operations. The achieved certification is a tangible proof of Konecranes security practices being compliant with the best practices and our commitment to drive continuous improvement,” says Juha Pankakoski, Executive Vice President, Port Solutions, Konecranes.
To achieve this certification, Konecranes run an extensive review of security practices for access management, secure software development, incident management and supply chain security, to name a few.
"Everyone at Konecranes makes daily choices which impact the security of our customer offering, protection of Konecranes trade secrets and the continuity of our operations. One major factor in our certification project was to ensure that people are empowered with the right knowledge, skills, and tools to make cyber-aware decisions," says Ralph Madenach, Chief Information Officer, Konecranes.
Receiving the certification is not the end of the journey but a major milestone in Konecranes’ way to smarter, safer, and better world. For more information on our cybersecurity, click here.
