Employee Resource Groups (ERG) are voluntary, employee-led groups that promote a diverse, inclusive workplace that is aligned with the company's vision, values, goals, business practices, and objectives.
By having Employee Resource Groups, we want to make the invisible needs of the minority visible, share common experiences and issues to generate ideas and implement improvements and solutions. We also want to increase our employees' involvement in Diversity and Inclusion promotion and expand network and learn from others in the organization.
With these groups, we are able to make a concrete contribution to shape Konecranes' work environment for better, more equal and safe work environment.
Progressing STEM
There is a tremendous opportunity for greater representation of women in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) fields. With different actions, the group aims to encourage girls and women to pursue career in STEM fields and encourage female employees to expand their career opportunities.
Pride and Allies
The Pride & Allies Employee Resource Group is open to all Konecranes employees regardless of sexual orientation or gender expression and identity. The group advances and promotes workplace equality and inclusion through engaging and developing employees and our culture.
Inspiring Women to Leadership
The aim of the group is to cultivate an inclusive environment that supports and encourages women to advance their skills and leadership potential through connection, mentorship, collaboration and discussion, accelerating their personal and professional growth.
Allies for Disabilities
Disabilities can come in many forms. Those can be physical or mental, and those can be visible or hidden. In the Allies for Disabilities Employee Resource Group, the purpose is to create a safe and empathetic space where people with disabilities and their allies can openly discuss issues facing them. The group aims to improve physical, mental and accessibility issues.
Climate Action
In the Climate Action Employee Resource Group, the purpose is to create an active and communal way to amplify Konecranes’ climate action. The group aims to find new ways to better engage employees in our climate action and to increase knowledge on actions mitigating climate change.
