Meet Vinul Venugopal
Journey of a Senior Solutions Architect
Vinul, who started at Konecranes around four years ago, began his journey as a Senior Data Engineer. This helped him lay the groundwork for his current position in the world of solutions architecture. Progressing with hard work and dedication, Vinul received recognition for his successes and shifted into the role he has today.
Currently, Vinul holds the position of Architect, Data & Analytics. His role is critical to the creation and oversight of data architectures; thus, he designs and manages systems that handle as well as protect data. He values our company’s desire to enhance the abilities and opportunities of our employees, which is also reflected in his own career path.
Creativity at the core
A rewarding aspect of Vinul’s role at the company is creative freedom. For Vinul, having his new ideas and unique approaches warmly embraced represents Konecranes’ culture for innovation.
“I don’t face any creative barriers at Konecranes. When you come up with an idea, there is always someone who’s willing to listen to it, spar it, and appreciate it,” Vinul explains.
Although Vinul’s work can be challenging at times, he emphasizes that difficult tasks provide a stimulating working environment. Encountering new technologies and frameworks is what makes Vinul’s work fascinating, and he gladly faces these topics on a day-to-day basis.

Exploring Finland outside of work
Living in Finland for around six years now – originally relocating from India – Vinul has been able to develop hobbies and interests surrounding nature, travelling, and spending time outdoors. Whenever his schedule allows it, he takes the time to travel around different places in Finland with his motorcycle.
Although cultural shocks are common when living in a new country, Vinul gladly explains how he has experienced more of a “cultural enlightenment”.
“Everything is excellent. The people are respectful and professional. I’ve also been able to make some really good friends, which is wonderful.”
