The first remote services, TRUVIEW and TRUCARE®, were launched in May 2011 for Konecranes CXT cranes for industrial applications. Now the TRUVIEW remote data reporting and maintenance optimization service is also available for Konecranes SMARTON cranes for heavy applications.
The TRUVIEW remote data reporting and maintenance optimization service provides the customer with an actual view of the operating condition of their cranes with continuous data collection. Data is collected through a remote connection and the system provides online reports for the customer and Konecranes service branch to view. Combined with the global yet local service network TRUVIEW is an efficient tool to reduce the total cost of ownership for the customer as it enables optimized maintenance based on the actual usage of the crane. It also helps the customer to improve the safe use of their crane as it includes information about overloads and emergency stops.
The SMARTON solution of TRUVIEW is an enhancement to the earlier TRUVIEW version as the reports include more detailed data. In addition to details about the hoist, the reports also include information about the trolley and bridge. The reports are shared in Konecranes’ customer portal which offers easy access to the history data of the crane with important crane specific key figures in real time.
With the power of information, TRUVIEW offers three distinct benefits to the customer. First, it helps the customer to increase safety as overloads, emergency stops, and other safety issues are captured and clearly brought to the customer’s attention. Second, it enables the right maintenance at the right time based on real crane usage and conditions. Third, the customer is able to see how the hoist is actually used and thus can plan maintenance actions in advance.
