Statutory negotiations completed at Konecranes Service Corporation in Finland

The statutory negotiations have now ended at Konecranes Service Corporation in Finland. Konecranes Service Corporation will make a permanent reduction of 26 persons at most. Details of the reductions will be decided by the end of February 2010. During the negotiations the parties also agreed on temporary layoffs which can be made up until May 31, 2011. The extent of the temporary layoffs will depend on the company’s work load. The permanent and temporary layoffs will affect all personnel groups.

Konecranes Service Corporation started statutory negotiations on January 5, 2010. The aim was to adjust the company’s cost structure and capacity to the current, weaker market situation and to secure future competitiveness.

Konecranes Service Corporation employs about 620 persons in Finland.
