Konecranes’ Chairman of the Board Stig Gustavson conferred Honorary Doctorate of the Aalto University School of Science and Technology

On October 1, 2010 Konecranes’ Chairman of the Board Mr Stig Gustavson receives an honorary doctorate in the ceremonial conferment of doctoral degrees of the Aalto University School of Science and Technology. Mr Gustavson is an alumnus of Helsinki University of Technology and has actively supported the establishment of Aalto University.
Gustavson is also cited for his work of bringing together actors within the Administration, Business and the Academic world.

The decision regarding the Honorary Doctorates to be conferred in 2010 was made by the Council of Helsinki University of Technology. In a conferment ceremony, an honorary doctorate and the related insignia are conferred upon a person who, based on his/her scientific or artistic activities or contributions to science, art or cultural activities is deemed worthy of such an honor.
